Above Los Angeles along Fossil Ridge, you can find fossil shells from the time when these hills were under the ocean. If you go to the mountains of Pakistan you may also find marine fossils. Fossils of whales when they paddled around the shallow Tethys Sea. The teeth of whales are not the same as other mammals, and so can separate what is a whale from what is not.
These whale fossils tell a tale.
