Do I as a parent have to set up every lab?
Students are encouraged to do all the labs with at-home set-up instructions on the Parent pages. If you need to skip a lab, follow the written alternative.

Yes. We offer hands-on wet labs in-person for Ventura-Thousand Oaks families. Contact hrobinson@horizoneducationandmedia.org for dates and admission requirements.

What level and standards does this course align to?
This course is an honors-level program. Each lesson is aligned above the Next Generation Science Standards (California) and at the College Board Standards for Science Success (National), with details specified on the Parent pages.

Students are expected to have completed at least Grade 6 Common Core math standards, with at least concurrent Grade 7 Common Core math or Pre-Algebra.
