Hannah Robinson has won multiple teaching awards over her 25 years of experience teaching science to middle and high school students. She holds teaching credentials in Life Sciences and Career Technical Education, a Bachelors Degree in Biochemistry and Physiology, and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

This course is a challenging program open to homeschool students in grades 6-8. Each lesson set is aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (California) and the College Board Standards for Science Success (National). For purposes of the homeschool audit, standards are specified for each unit under the user guide tab.
Students are expected to have completed at least Grade 6 Common Core math standards, with at least concurrent Grade 7 Common Core math or Pre-Algebra, or equivalent Singapore Math level.
The textbook ck12 Flexlet Life Science Essentials is customized for this course and is available free online. This includes an ai chat-bot assistant to answer questions on each topic. A physical print version is available at cost using on-demand printing.
